ὀλίγος, η, ον (Hom.+.—For the NT the spelling ὁλίγος is not infrequently attested [exx. in B-D-F §14; Mlt-H., 98f; cp. μή (Hom.+) negative particle, ‘not’: ‘μή is the negative of will, wish, doubt. If οὐ denies the fact, μή denies the idea’ (Rob. 1167).
